It’s difficult for me to pinpoint when it started. But, looking back on my life, I always felt unloved, as if something was with me. What about you? Do you know that you are deeply loved?
My journey to follow the Lord Jesus Christ began when He found me in 1993. I learned that He is gentle and humble of heart (Matt 11:28) and wants to give me rest for my soul. He led me on a journey to show me His love. After grasping His love, my self-worth changed as I healed my wounded heart.
I invite you to discover how much God loves you in Christ Jesus.
He Loved you First
First, He loved you before you were born. Then, He showed His love by offering Jesus on the cross to restore your relationship with Him.
This is beautiful truth: “In this, the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.” 1 John 4:10. He loved you before you even loved Him…that is a powerful truth! You are deeply loved!
He is love (1 John 4:8). And He showed His love, as I mentioned previously, by sending His only Son into the world so that we might live through Him (1 John 4:9)
His Love is Everlasting
Next, His love for you is everlasting, and He draws You, with His love, closer to Him. “The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore, with lovingkindness have I drawn thee,” He says to you in Jeremiah 31:3.
His Love is Secure
Nothing can separate you from His love. What a s no matter what happens or what you do, His love for you is sure. Because it’s not dependent on you, it’s dependent on Him. And because, as emotional beings, our love for others and others’ love for us may change, but His love stays the same.
Read the passage in Romans 8:31-39. Let Him minister healing to your heart. Listen to verse 39: “…Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”.
He Shows You that You are Deeply Loved!
I cannot feel this love of God; how can it heal my heart? The Lord, however, is faithful and will bring you people who will show you His love, mercy, and kindness.
Wow! I met amazing people who showed me God’s love. And if you think about it, you may have bumped into one or two of those people too!
How do we recognize His love? It is like no other love (1 Corinthians 13:4-8a). His love is:
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never ends…” – How wonderful is the love of the Father to you, my dearest sisters in Christ!
You Are Deeply Loved!
It is irrelevant where you come from, what you have done in your life, what others say about you, what you look like and how you feel about yourself… what is important is that you believe and accept the love of God the Father in Jesus Christ for you.
As you meditate on the Scriptures about His love and allow the Holy Spirit to open up the Word so you can understand His love, as shown in the sacrifice of Christ on the cross – your heart will heal.
Blessings and love,
Marelli
